i leave my mind open to take me where it will, and i inevitably find myself in a field w/tall,yellow grass, the sun setting, and a creek nearby. i'm sitting under an oak tree, and watching a paint stallion graze contentedly in a field.i can see his tail flick every now and again, and he make no move to come near me.he looks up at me occasionally, but that's it. the place is surronded by forrest. what is this place, and why do i keep coming there every time i meditate?when i'm there, i feel completely safe and secure, and i can feel autumn winds blowing, but i'm completely comfortable.

  1. You just answered your own question.

"when i'm there, i feel completely safe and secure, and i can feel autumn winds blowing, but i'm completely comfortable."

  2. our mind sets on those thoughts which we like.

  3. Hello

The place will be a construct of your subconscious mind.

Have you ventured into it yet & explored?

    Sadhara

  4. You have found your happy place.  :D If you are meditating in order to get away from it all and relax, then I say that you are ending up in the right place for it. I also agree with Arbor's advice.

  5. This may be a place in a former life that you felt at perfect peace.  I say this because you contine to go there and it is quite vivid.  Does this place seem familiar in any way?  You may be experiencing a moment in time of another life that has a very strong psychic vibration.  You should try to see if you can expand this medative experience.  Ask your spirit guides to help you!

  6. I think you answered your own question - it's because you feel safe, secure and comfortable there.   If you want to visualize yourself in some other place, you'll have to make yourself do it instead of letting your mind wander.  Maybe you can visualize some paths leading off from this safe place in order to help.

  7. It is your safe place, surprising it usually takes a well orchestrated guided meditation to do that. Good for you!

  8. Uncle Rhemus used to have his "Laughing Place"...or was that Brer Rabbit?  Maybe this is your "Happy Place"...like someone else said. If you didn't visualize this when you were meditating...then I have no idea why it came into your mind. A lot of things come into my mind that I wonder where they came from.
