When i moved my pc from one room to another the speakers stopped working help?

i have double checked all cables and leads and all are correctly placed! the speakers are built into my monitor and have always worked perfectly until i moved rooms! i have also purchased some speakers and only one will work. does anyone know of a possible problem i have updated drivers and etc and this is still not working. some one please help i am becoming very frustrated.

hi mate

        for some reason when computer hardware dosent like being moved,and the reason i beleive is that todays electrical components are not made as durable as they used to be

       it wont be a driver issue as you have not removed any drivers and a knock wont cause them to dissapaear

          the only plausable reason i can see is you have damaged one of the speaker cables while you were moving them

            it may be your onboard audio adapter is at fault ,i recently lost a dedicated sound card(audigy 7.1) and it simply failed on me so i have reverted back to the realtek ac-97 onboard audio

           it sounds like your soundcard is starting to fail,especially considering the new speakers would only work through the one speaker

             your best option is to buy a new soundcard like the Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE 7.1(http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component...

Well, all i can Think Of Is The Plug, You Said You checked, but i mean the power outlet plug in the wall, maybey it doesnt have enough energy to supply the pc and the speakers?, try moving it again, and see if it works with a different plug, if you do email me to see how it came out.
