When i open IE7 it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage I can play poker or do other things why?

I have to use a link from other programs to use IE properly but if i click on the IE shortcut it says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

  1. there is something wrong with ie7

    remove it and install it again or go to mozilla firefox

It sounds like the icon on your desktop that generates the error is a link to a specific website.  If you right click on the shortcut and select "properties", it should open a dialog box.  If I am right, there will be two tabs - one that says General, the other says Web Document.  The Web Document will have field that is labeled "URL:" with the address of the problem site in it.  

    Now, when you say you use the link from other programs, I'm assuming you are talking about from the Start menu - please, correct me if I am wrong.  

    I suggest you delete the shortcut from your desktop, and put a new one in it's place.  I also don't know which operating system you are using, so the following instructions will be for Windows XP.  If you are using Windows Vista, they will be similar, but slightly different.

    1) Click on Start, and navigate your way to the Internet Explorer link.

    2) Right click on the Internet Explorer link, go to Send To->, and then Desktop.

    This should create a new link on your desktop you can use.
