When i play back video using samsung vp-d361,the sound is really dreadful,video ok,i have used a tape cleaner

When you say "dreadful" can you describe how? Is it at very low level and hissy, or very distorted, or coming and going?

if the video is ok, then you don't need a tape cleaner. with digital, the video and audio are recorded on the same head and are transfered in the same data stream. Because the video is good, there is nothing wrong mechanically with the camcorder either. miniDV audio can be recorded in 16 bit uncompressed or 12 bit compressed mode. check the menu for the camera and make sure you are in the 16 bit mode as some cameras default the the 12 bit mode.
