When i pull the rope on my weed eater it has no resistance and comes right out what does this mean?

You need  to cinch up the tension of the line.

All weed eaters are different, but, I would look at the center piece.

Should be able to fix it there.

You have to secure it in the center somehow.

In the pull cord assembly there is a recoil spring.

One of the pieces in this mechanism is probably broken. They are usually easier to replace that to repair but I would look at it first with the intention of buying a new one.
