When i put my two geckos together why does one shake his tail like crazy ?

im trying to get them to breed and when i put them together the larger of the two shakes his tail like he would if he was hunting food

I assume your taking about Leopard Geckos? The tail shaking means he is excited, it's a normal behaviour when breeding Leos.
