When i recieve a text

Question

When i recieve a text or a phone call, i open my phone and the screen turns white and will not bring up the screen. I sometimes have to shut it off to get my message. Also just opening it sometimes i have a problem, and when i close it the same thing occasionaly happens.the person that called said they heard a loud screech when i tried to pick up.I have a motorola w490 with t-mobile. i jusy bought this phone 3 months ago. have not had any significant drops and never has gotten wet.
