during my run today, my hip was in pain. it was a sharp and tight pain. are there any stretches i could do? should i ice?

When you run your hip hurts, there could be many reasons for this and each case is different. first, do you mean run to compete or run to stay in shape. Stretch yourself few times a week also
Wear better shoes that support your landing better
if you are doing it for health, try swiming instead of running
