When i scroll up/down my web browser, it gets wavy and choppy. how to make it smoothe? ?

when scrolling up and down with my web browser IE7, it takes too much time to scroll. it takes time to scroll up/down, the screen gets all choppy and it's as if the entire body of words in the screen is undulating.

how to cure this? do i have to change the screen setting to update more frequently, or download additional software?

im using windows xp pro, service pack 3. but it was the same with sp 2. this trouble only happened after i installed xp pro on my toshiba dynabook laptop. before that i was using the original toshiba distributed xp home edition.

Install a higher video card.

This happens due to how IE "smooths" scrolling. To disable it, click on "tools", then "Internet Options". Hit the "Advanced" tab and scroll down until you see "use smooth scrolling", which is most likely checked. Uncheck it.

Get the latest graphics driver from the toshiba website. You are probably running on a generic Microsoft driver.
