When i take a picture with my samsung s730, the pics have lines through them?

when i take the pics on my cam they look fine. when i load send them to my documents folder and try to preview them on my windows media player, they have lines through them and the picture and colors are distorted. can someone please help me. i just got this cam for christmas and i really don't wanna buy another one.

Try right clicking the picture icons and on drop down ,click open with "paint"...the media player could be causing the distortion
