why do washing machines have to be so tall? when i go to get my laundry out of my washring machine i have to climb up ontop of it just to get the laundry out, i'm a 5 foot tall girl,

Because people want large washing capacity in a small floor space footprint.  Use a stepstool, or buy a front-loading washer, since they are more efficient anyway.

washing machines doesnt have to be so tall. it may be that u are useing a very high power one but the ones used in homes for non heavy use are usually 2 metres maximum
