When i trade in games at gamestop does the credit go into my edge card or a new edge card?

like if i trade a game will the credit i get from that game go in to my edge card that i have now or will i have to get a new edge card?

  1. The credit actually goes to a new edge card.

    Gamestop doesn't place it on old cards.
