  1. Your registry has more than likely become corrupt.  You can either try to boot your Windows CD and recover a system restore point or if that fails you can try to create a new registry file to recover your system.  Either of these methods will allow you to get your system operational again without losing your existing data.  See the links below for more details

  2. Did it start after installing any new hardware or software. If so remove d hardware. To remove d software u will have 2 at least boot in safe mode n uninstall it. Chk BIOS settings. Else, Press F8 on sys start; (if you get a boot menu select HDD-0 press enter n immediately press F8). U will get an options menu. Select/Follow these in order given- 1.Last known good config. 2. safe mode, do system restore 3. Safe mode with command prompt; u will get a black screen with d command prompt; Pres Alt+Ctrl+Del to bring up Task Manager, Go to file-New Task, type explorer in d open box n OK. U will get d desktop; do a system restore.

If these don't work then- Boot with a XP bootable CD n 1.Choose d repair option. (Read d on-screen messages carefully, don't press R to use d recovery console, press R if setup finds d existing installation and offers to repair). 2. If u got "Unmountable disk" or other disk error msg choose recovery console n type chkdsk in d prompt to repair hard disk problems n try booting from Hard Disk. 3.If none of d above works, lastly choose new installation n in the format screen choose- Leave the current file system... , use a user name different from ur earlier one, (else ur My Documents may be over written). U will get a fresh installation of XP sans ur programs. Copy ur data to a different partition (Drive) if u have or write them in CD; then again do a installation, this time formatting d C drive.

Another problem I found- very low disk space in C drive. For this I had to use d recovery console and delete temporary files, move or delete some other files to free at least 500MB disk space.

  3. Go into safe mode and see if it will boot.  What was the last thing you did before it started acting like it is now?

Blue screen normally givces yu a code that will identify the problem, but if is just flashing, it will be tough to see. Appraently you are on another computer, so if you can see the code (0x00000000207 or something like this) google the code. It will identify your problrm. If not, you might have to reinstall windows.

  4. right my cuz had this problem and brought it to me you have installed or uninstalled sommet and it has gone rong you need to get ya windows disks and it will reinstall windows but im sorry all your files will be gone but your computer will be as fast as h**l and like brand new!
