Mmm, sorry. Some programs you just can't run, they absolutely have to be installed on your computer. But Realplayer is a legit program, so you could download it and not expect any viruses or anything similar happening to your computer. Best of luck! <3

As far as I am aware, you cannot open this file directly using firefox, but it is still easy to install.

What you have to do is press save file to the desktop or some other easily-accessible location, then double click it to run it.  After the install has completed, delete the file.  

I think this problem is to do with the file being a 'binary file', although i'm not sure.  

Alternatively, you can use Internet Explorer.  This worked for me, so it's worth a try?

Sounds like your using firefox, in IE you should be given the option to run or save.  You can just save the file and then open it, thats what ie does when you select run, it saves the file to a temporary directory and then runs it for you.  So just save, run, and then afterwards delete.  Be aware though that if you need to make changes to the configuration of the installation, for example add features you deselected during install, 'add or remove programs' in control panel needs to be able to find the installer.
