When i turn left or right mainly if going up otr down kirb i get a grating noise lasts maybe a second?

are you driving a toyota 4x4? i had the same problem and was told is normal.

If you have aftermarket tires or wheels, they may be rubbing in that situation. Next up in likelyhood are the CV joints. Third up are the wheel bearings.

Sounds like some part of the bodywork or possibly the exhaust is scraping the kerb. If you really must mount a kerb (note the spelling of kerb)  do it at the shallowest angle possibly and very slowly. Do not be tempted to try it at right angles, damage is a virtual certainty.
