Question:

When i turn on my laptop the loudspeaker icon at the bottom has a red cross in it my sound used to work ok?

when i click on the loud speaker icon it says no audio output device instaled wheres it gone

  1. You more than likely need to update your sound drivers. Right click the speaker icon and click on Adjust Audio Properties (if on XP) and up near the top, next to a grey speaker icon, it will say the name of the sound card. If on Vista, just hover your mouse cursor over the speaker icon and it will tell you the name of your sound card. Go to Google and type that name in followed by the word "drivers" and either XP or Vista. Follow the first search result and download the latest driver pack available for your system. Once this is done, install the drivers, reboot your computer/laptop and your sound should be back. Any problems, feel free to send me a message or email and I'll try and help you out a bit more.
