When i turn the A/C on.The compressor is on/off by itself?

I have 99 civic.I just changed the a/c compressor,drier last week.When i turn the a/c on the compressor's on for a while and it shut off for 30 second and then it's on again for a while and it shut off for 30 second.It keep doing that and im very worry about it.Please somebody tell me what is wrong with it ? and what can i do? Help!

The system may have too little or too much freon. Have it checked by a professional mechanic.If it worked fine at first and started doing it recently, may have a leak.

It's called cycling, it's supposed to. If it gets cold dont do anything.

While it is normal for the compressor to cycle on and off, you may have a problem.  If there is the wrong amount of freon in the system, the high and/or low side pressure switches will tell the compressor to turn off if they see the wrong pressure.  Make sure you have the correct amount of frreon in the car.  A normal charged system at idle will have the compressor running conatanly.
