When i use the card Malevolent Catastrophe in Yu-Gi-Oh, does that stop the opponent's monster's attack?

No. Malevolent castrophe only destroys spell and trap cards.

no it wont unless a spell or trap would be eeping the attacking monster on the field.

it won't stop the attack. but if there's a monster attached to a card like call of the haunted, premature burial, birthright, etc. then those monsters are destroyed unless book of moon is used on those monsters

No it does not stop the attack.

It only destroys the spell/trap cards. If the monster was attached to a spell/trap card, (Ex. Premature Burial), then it would be destroyed.
