Did you load the software for it?  Better yet, did you follow the detailed instructions for the installation?  Is it plugged in?

Try reloading the software/drivers.

More information is needed, but... try checking your cable - is it good? Try re-starting or re-booting the computer... sometimes if too much is going on it will not start the program at all, so shut down any unnecessary programs. Also, turn off the "WiFi" if you have it before you reboot or restart. And go into the Control Panel (PC) or System Preferences (Mac) and see if the system is supposed to be set to recognize the webcam. Also make sure that the correct driver for the webcam is installed. Hope that helps, but you do need to post more information.

Not trying to be rude But I would buy a new one, I bought a GE brand and it has great image picture quality and has lasted for 4 yrs even though it might be out of date it still works. I would Look on ebay or anywhere but walmart (fall-apart) everything they sell the is electronic is from the bottom of the stack (rejects) 9 out of 10 time that I have bought something there and is in anyway shape or form of electronic I have had to return at least twice before I got one that would work.  HOPE THIS HELPS

read the manual sometimes you have do download certain things and install the disk as well.

You may just want to buy a new and better cam.

Or maby another thought would be to adjust camera options which would bring in the photo and see yourself better.
