When i was little someone said, that you could not get strike my lightning if you had rubber shoes?

  3. Of course you can, but not in a car. It's not cause of the rubber tires, it's cause the electrons gather around the metal surface of the car and not on you. Nothing to do with rubber tires. Yes, rubber is a poor conductor but lighting is so forceful that it wouldn't matter.

  4. Lightning cannot go through the rubber, but the rubber isn't between your head and the sky, so you'll still get hit.  However, you wouldn't be hit if you were, say, standing in water and the lightning hit the water.
