When i was swimming my shoulder started to hurt and i was wondering if i pulled a muscle?

  1. Could be your rotater cuff, go get it checked out. Actually, I did that and went to my Doctor and said " it hurts when I move it like this" (showing him the range of movement) and he said "well don't do that", I then said that I wanted a second opinion, and he said "OK then, you're Ugly"....everywhere I go, I get no respect....


  2. Two questions: what stroke were you doing? Butterfly? Crawl? and how much stretching do you do?

    It could be a problem with rotator cuff (this is a common problem for swimmers) or you could have pulled a muscle, or it could simply be that you haven't been doing flexibility and stretching exercises.

    Did the pain persist after you stopped swimming? If so, have you seen a doctor? or a good massage therapist? Don't mess with shoulders. They are weird joints to begin with, and it doesn't take much to get them out of kilter.

  3. well I'm a massage therapist so i would say you pulled a muscle. but i could be wrong. I would have to look. I hope your shoulder gets better.
