  1. Try going into your control panel under your start bar and clicking Sounds and Audio devices, the tab at the top will say "Voice" click that and see if you your microphone brand matches the brand in the mic pull down menu.  If it doesnt match it make sure that the connection and placement of the headsets plug in is correct (I.E Connection from Mic to Computer)

    Also Im not sure what kind of sound card you have but often times with the newer soundcards/computers it will only accept a USB headset.  As is unforantly, This is the case with my computer....

    OH yea and remember the little things lol like with my mic theres a HUGE button in the middle that will turn off the mic at the slightest touch, so just go through make sure that you have the mic turned on.  Also make sure in the volume menu on your start bar that the mute boxes are not checked for your mic.

  2. Try turning your mic on. You willl need to go to control pannel and select sounds, speach etc. under voice, see voice recording and select volume. Make sure the mic is selected and the volume set at the right level

  3. test ur multimedia and make him test his.

    go to start-->all programs-->accessories-->entertainment--... recorder

    record something and listen to it. if u see the green waves moving but can't hear anything then the problem is with ur speakers. if u can hear urself then the problem is from the other person's side.

  4. Because that person doesnt have the speakers plugged in or switched on, or that person is deaf. Good luck!

  5. this depends upon the system, mic, speakers, switch, emplifier etc. if it is two way communication then by operating a switch you will also hear the other person's voice

  6. MAYBE THE SPEAKERS ARE NOT PLUGGED IN OR TURNED UP... OR COULD BE MORE COMPLEX LIKE THE SOUND CARD IN THE COMPUTER....

  7. If you are talking about a two way communications mike, it could be the switch, or the transmitter element that is bad.
