  1. I did learn this at school.

    Milk comes frozen home in pail

    Greasy Joan keals the pot later on

    But before that the owl goes to wit to woo a merry note while she does it

  2. It's from Love Labours Lost.

    i have the complete works of Shakespeare but was never taught it at school which was a travesty.

    Act V. Sc. II

    When icicles hang by the wall

    And d**k the shepherd blows his nail

    And Tom bears logs into the hall

    And milk comes frozen home in pail,

    When blood is nipp'd and ways be foul,

    When nightly sings the staring owl, Tu-whit;

    Tu-who, a merry note,

    While greasy Joan doth keel the pot,

    When all aloud the wind doth blow

    And coughing drowns the parson's saw

    And birds sit brooding in the snow

    And Marian's nose looks red and raw,

    When roasted crabs hiss in the bowl,

    When nightly sings the staring owl, Tu-whit;

    Tu-who, a merry note,

    While greasy Joan doth keel the pot.

  3. I wish I could remember.  Is it something like 'and greasy Joan doth keel the pot?'.
