  1. There have been theories that the universe has a big bang every 1 trillion years and at the end of the universe it is said to collapse on itself and cause another big bang to explode.

  2. the big crunch theory is not a very plausible theory. its possible only because anything is possible, but it's probably not going to happen. and even if the universe did try to collapse on itself, Chuck Norris will be there to save us.

  3. There is something called the ''Big Rip'' which is a cosmological hypothesis about the ultimate fate of the universe in which the matter of the universe, from stars and galaxies to atoms and subatomic particles, is progressively torn apart by the expansion of the universe at a certain time in the very distant future. This is one way that scientists think the universe will end but they do not think that it will happen for about another 50 billion years if it ever happens anyway. But you don't have to worry because were not gonna be around to see it happen. :D

  4. Current theories are that the universe will never collapse. There isn't enough matter in it to cause that. There are two rival theories.

The universe may continue to expand, gradually slowing down, but never enough to stop it expanding. This fits in with the known laws of physics.

The universe may accelerate its expansion. This fits in with recent observations.

  5. It's called the Big Crunch.  The theory postulates that average density of the universe will cause it to stop expanding at some point and begin collapsing on itself.  But I don't see it happening for at least 13.7 billion years, so don't raid your savings account just yet.

  6. No one will ever know because Jesus Christ said that no one will ever know when he will come back. Don't believe check the King James version  of the bible.

  7. some time tomorrow

  8. I guess I won't see/feel it :-)))

    In more thousand years.

  9. wtf

if the universe collapses we will all die

  10. First: the Universe is unlikely to collapse any time soon.

Second: it is unlikely that it will "collapse" - I assume you're worried about something destroying earth.  That would be from something like the sun flaring up, which I hear is unlikely

Third: If the Universe goes any which way, I doubt there would be enough time for a warning... nor would I want one!!

  11. The latest measurements say that it will expand forever and never collapse.
