  1. No. Lemons are used to flavor the chicken, but are not necessary to cook the chicken. If you don't like the flavor, don't use lemons.

  2. Of course not.  You can baste it with a butter/seasoning mix.  Kind of like basting the Thanksgiving turkey.  You can also mix butter and basil, sage, dill, garlic, into a paste and stuff it under the skin of the chicken before baking.  Imagine the deliciousness of it all!  :)

  3. no0o it sure doesnt.....

  4. you dont have to put lemons.. u can put whatever u like and what u think would taste good

  5. No. Citrus acids help tenderize and flavor chicken. They make that muscle under your mouth pop! Your giving out trade secrets.....

  6. No. If you have lemon juice, use that.

You can go without using it.

  7. Why would you put lemons in your roast chicken recipe????

Never thought of that SO NO you DON'T!!!

  8. No, not necessarily! Lemons are merely garnishing... they can and may be used to add a little bit of extra flavor, but most of the time a slice of lemon is put on the side just for the sake of making the chicken look more appetizing. :-)
