When in Sydney. is there a preferred place to store dirty dishes other than the dishwasher?

well if your lazy like some people why not place them in a round container located next to your desk! (formally known as a BIN!!) and im sure when the cleaners come they will find it and then place it into the correct place known as a dishwasher!!

rubbish bins are always a good place for dishes - and cutlery too.

If you prefer your dishes further away from you, then simply put them in the kitchen sink (or any available surface nearby). Friendly co-workers will always be more than happy to take car of them for you at some point.
