When in a group, talker does not look at you...why?

In a group of 3 or more, whenever this girl talks, she makes eye contact with others, but not me. However, when I'm talking, she'll look at me. Also when talking 1 on 1, it's fine. Any opinions??

You may make her nervous. I don't look at people when I talk to them all the time even when its just one on one. At least she looks at you when you're speaking. Don't take it personal.

It's possible she finds you intimidating in some way. Sometimes people don't want to stare at someone that they are physically attracted to. They may be embarassed, or may feel uncomfortable  and nervous if their secret is discovered. Sometimes people don't look at you because there's a buger on your face, or a defect of some kind. Sometimes people aren't engaged in the conversation and want to look astray to see what else is out there. Sometimes they're into themselves and who may be looking at them rather than who is right across from them. And there are those from other cultures, uneducated about common courtesies who don't care if they stare...which is very rude. That's only okay if you're engaged in a staring contest with Conan. Some people get easily distracted, or they are lying about something, i think eye contact is important, but i guess you have to know the person in order to underatnd them too

You are right. I feel the same way. Maybe they think you are not as important as the other two.

Try not expecting her to look at you. You'll sense that she is. It happens now and then when people sense you're craving some kind of attention. I've been in that situation. I learned not to look for it.
