  1. Whenever tent camping where there is electricity we bring extension cords, party lights (little lights strung on a wire), if cold a small electric heater, if hot a small fan, my small coffee maker and an electric griddle or skillet. Sometime we have taken those electric bug zappers if by a lake where we expect mosquitos. My wife has even broght her iron to iron clothes, but that is silly and I told her so.

  2. The electric hook-ups in tent camping spaces (not RV spaces) are usually inthe form of an outdoor electrical box, similar to one you might find on the outside of your house.

Usually, in tent spaces, they're mounted to a short post in the ground.  You should be able to plug directly into them, with a standard plug.  Check with the campground to make sure this is the case.  RV spots will have a different system.  It sometimes depends on the campground.  Definitely check with them to be sure.

Some of the new tents being sold these days have spaces on the front where you can thread the cord through, to the interior of the tent, without leaving the tent door open.  Check your tent to see if you have this.

If you're counting on electric service at your campsite, check the hookup to be sure it's working, before you set up your tent.  If it's not working, check back with the office you registered at, and request a new campsite.

  3. Went camping recently you need to buy a hook up cable argos do them or try a camping shop, and you run the cable to your tent it should have a plug socket on the end and off you go
