  1. its not a country club!  everything is taken from you!  toilets (i wouldn't call them bathrooms) are in plain site...

  2. anything except drugs, weapons, alcohols, etc id say?

  3. it depends on where you go to prison. down south they are alot worse, up north they are alot nicer. some prisons seem like boarding school where the cells actually have doors and the bathrooms have seperate stalls and seperate showers. but some of them....most of them are bad. you toilet is where everyone can see you and you shower shoulder to shoulder.

  4. Everybody see's everything in prison. You are not entitled to privacy. One of may freedom's and privledges you will loose when you go.

  5. Honey, the sink and the toilet are the same appliance in modern prison cells. You can't take anything into prison with you. The guards know what's going on 99% of the time.

  6. Pretty much any thing that you take with you will be taken from you and placed into your property.  If you are wearing contact lenses, they will often allow you to keep wearing them, but it will be quite a while before you will get a case and solution for them.

No other people are not allowed to watch a person being strip searched, except the person who is conducting the search.  At least that is how a strip search is suppose to be conducted, with out others present.  The person that is conducting the search must be there to make sure that no contraband is being brought into the facility.

If there are cells that have actual walls then the bathroom will be located in the cell. Also remember that if a person has a cell mate then they are not  going to have privacy, since the person will be in the cell with them.  And they will see the person using the bathroom.

There are also units where they have open dorms, and they use a common area bathroom.  The common area bathrooms will have actual stalls, but there will be no doors on those stalls.  It just depends upon the facility and the unit where a person is housed.

I hope that this helps answer your questions.  All the best.

  7. there's no snacks available, no toothpaste, no extra underpants, no shampoo, so all those things must be purchased thru iCare Packages at a very $$$ high rate by your family/friends on the outside .... prison is no country club for most imprisoned but many cons learn how to cope and actually like the lifestyle once they learn how to manipulate the system.  With time all people are able to learn how to cope with survival skills needed for their environment ...... sad thing is that once they come to the outside again, they usually fail because they still are using prison tactics which gets them into trouble and thrown back .... what they need more than anything is social programs that are mandatory to train cons to blend and survive on the outside so we can all stop wasting money sending millions of regular folks into the prison system ..... that only wastes people's lives when they could be taught to be productive citizens at a much cheaper price ..... unfortunately common sense does not rule once our government gets a hold of a project

  8. Why dont you get into trouble and find out yourself :p      you cant take anything with you and they search you to make sure. the toilets are on the wall but where everyone can see you p**p!

  9. Just to let you know...there is ABSOLUTELY NO privacy in prison. You should watch the show lock up on TV and maybe that would answer your question.

  10. When you go to prison you cant take anything with you anything you got on you will be taken. Yes other people will see you get searched there will be the officers and the other females going though intake with you. The bathrooms are in the open everybody can see there is no privacy.
