So many times he declared his retirement from international cricket but after some days we see him in some ODI. Why he is sticking with Srilankan international side? He is 39 now, is he planning to celebrate his 50th birthday as international player???

  1. If he is still good enough to get selected then good luck to him. He wasn't just any player, he has been a remarkable one.

  2. Well. He is the best Sri Lanka has got. Can U argue with that. Most Importantly he is still playing some really great innings. I guess he will play till the next World Cup.

  3. after 2011

  4. its his decision , he is a passionate cricketer , and he loves cricket , thats why he cant stay without it .

  5. why should he retire, he is still the best opener Sri Lanka have, why force him out for someone who is not a good! as long as hes good enough then i think hes young enough

  6. He's performing well. And a very entertaining guy to watch

    That's what matters.

WHY THE h**l DO YOU WANT HIM TO RETIRE??

And he didn,t say he was going to retire from ODI's .

He was only recalled for the test matches

  7. well i can say that he better than some of the younger players out there, and is more reliable than sachin as an allrounder.

Sanath has 309 ODI wickets and some 12000 ODI runs, you cant argue with that....

  8. Even at the age of 39 years he is still fully fit and plays exceptionally well.  I strongly feel that he will continue to play

as long as he is fully fit and able to perform well.

  9. Lol,..He is potentially capable of doing it ,..He is really passionate about his cricket ,.. it still didn't satisfy his serving to his motherland,..~

and-ardent fans all over the world,.. yeah wish him longevity to play after 40 years and in 2011 world cup and ,.. may be as you said at the age of 50 years,..so on...

  10. Why The h**l You Want Sanath To Retire. He is Not like an Australian Or New Zealand Player who For Joining ICL And IPL for money tend to retire from their national teams.

  11. I don't understand why some people have a problem with Jaysurya not retiring from international cricket. If you are at the top of your cricketing form would you declare retirement? Especially there are so rewards- including monetary ones? If he plays like he played during the IPL tournament I don't care if he plays when he is 50 or even older.
