When installing a SONY CDX-4000X if i hook the power ant. wire up to the power wire on my amp it will cut off?

When installing a SONY CDX-4000X if i hook the power ant. wire up to the power wire on my amp it will cut off when i switch to the cd player so i need to hook the power wire to my amp to the remote power amp wire on the deck so it will keep the amp powered as long as the deck is on right?

Take the remote ant wire from the radio and connect it to the remote turn on of the amp not the power wire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
