  1. Wall-to-wall, stretch carpeting.  Either term refers to carpeting that is installed with tack strips, with padding underneath, then stretched to install over the tack strips.  Hope this helps.

  2. Broadloom Carpet.

Can be a rug or wall to wall.

  3. the carpet is called a frieze witch is a cut pile this is what you see in most homes. If this for a residential application.

Most carpets come 12' wide some come 13'-6" or 15' wide

at any length you need, one roll can be up to 150' long witch is commonly one roll size.

Padding  6lb  or 8lb re-bond is the best pad for the price

Mohawk  or Shaw one of the biggest distributors of carpet

Cut Berber has a fleck. (salt -n- pepper)

Plush carpets very small fiber and tight usually solid colors

Make sure that the fiber has a good twist that adds life to the carpet ( also look for a smart strand) this is a great new fiber.
