  1. If your talking about the wires on the new stereo the red is the wire that needs power only when the key is on. So the radio goes on and off with the key. The blue is the wire that will power on a power antenna or power amp.


  2. On the back of the head unit? Check the wiring diagram of that particular unit. If you are talking about a car wire, you can check www.the12volt.com, which has wiring diagrams for many different types of vehicles.

  3. The red wire is a crutial wire that gives power and tells the head unit to turn, and stay on. the blue wire is the turn on lead. If you have an amplifier then you will connect a long wire from the headunit back to the amp, and when you turn your headunit on, the amp will also turn on. RED turns headunit on, BLUE turns amp to power everything.
