i am trying to install a pair of subwoofers in my 2002 honda CRV.

being that the back of the car connects with the front, i imagine there are more options on what position to place the speakers?

how can i get the most out of them?

laying the box flat, with speakers facing up?

having the speakers face the back seat?

or having the speakers face the back door?

any help is appreciated

thanks in advance!

  1. if its sealed face them rear if its ported make sure the ports face the rear

  2. I usually say test them in all the positions and see what sounds best to you.  Generally, however, its best they face the trunk/back.

  3. 2 the rear

  4. i use a wedge box and point the slope side to the rear.

but if  i were you, have fun with it and experiment on its location and find its sweet spot. it you who'll be listening to it everyday and not us so you still have the final say on where your subs should face.
