When is American high school summer holidays, start and finish? how long do they last?

When is American high school summer holidays, start and finish? how long do they last?

I live in Michigan and my school used to start in August and go til May, but when we started in August, we took Labor Day off.  So now, school runs from the day after Labor Day til mid-June, making a 3 month summer from June to Sept.

well for me our holiday lasts for about 3 months and begins sometime in late may and ends in late august.

I got off of school on May 15, and I went back to school on August 1st.
