I want to join the world and show I care about the Earth. Is it this saturday?

It was last Saturday. But many people are making a monthly, weekly, or daily habit of Earth Hour. Don't do it once a year just for the novelty of it! Do it regularly for the principle of it!

Some poeple I know power down for one entire day of the month, others just now and then. We usually try to incorporate a some powering down every day.

Earth hour, that is a good one, so what hour are we in right now Mars hour, or Venus Hour, I am so sick of stupid gimmicks if you want to help the planet then do the right thing every hour of every day.

It was last Saturday, but don't let that worry you.  Just pick your own day and turn off your lights.  It will have the same impact as it  would have on Saturday.  Good for you!

Just use timers and sensors on a daily bases, and junk the candle's.

Earth Hour already passed, I'm afraid.  It was last Saturday at 8 PM (yes there are different time zones, but it is supposed to happen at 8 PM in each time zone).  You could do it next year though ^^. Its great that you're interested in helping to save the Earth and make things better :)  There are also other ways to help the Earth too, you can go on google and search for them. :) :).

It was on Saturday and Google started it. All the major cities turned off their power and went dark for 1 hour.
