  1. dont know hope soon they need firestone or hoosier

  2. How many more Goodyear questions do you have in you?

The tires are fine, but you're worn out.

  3. I'm wondering when nascar are going to re-evaluate their own, tire testing rules !!

Give EVERYONE some notes to pull off of !!

  4. they really can't do anything until the contract is up in 3 more years i think

  5. well they need to let goodyear have time to develop good tires for the new car, it may take a while but if you decide your gonna get rid of goodyear and bring in hoosier or firestone or whatever then there gonna take time as well to adapt and make a good tire for the cars. i believe goodyear has more of and idea of what to do for nascar since they've been working with the most recent cars. other tire makers might not even no were to start.

  6. Remember the tire wars of a few years back, when Hoosier had a very good qualifying tire, but a dud on race day........it seems like Goodyear has a monopoly that will not end soon....there doesn't seem to be tire manufacturer's clamoring to get into the game.

  7. There was not a widespread tire problem this week. Just a few drivers suffered from the tire problems, which either means that they had an improper front-end setup or the driver was over-driving the car, or like in Tony Stewart's case they just plain went too far on a set of tires. Goodyear has done a very good job lately. You can't blame them for the tire problems from this weekend. If they had brought the wrong tire again I'm sure that either the drivers would have said something or we would have seen many more failures - neither of which happened.

  8. As far as I know they are going to keep Goodyear for a good long while.  The simple fact of the matter is (and I am sure you are talking about Smoke losing a tire in the last couple laps) that Tony was running on tires that had about 80 some odd laps on them it doesn't matter at that point what Goodyear does the tire are only going to last so long. Tony and Zippy gambled and it didn't work out that is the way it goes in this sport.
