the lst part of navember- the first week of feb

they test a lot all january so i guess they really only get about 30 days off but they also do foto shoots and camercials! so in fact they really don't get much time off at all! thats what makes nascar drivers so deicated and what makes the fans love them more!

NASCAR runs its last points race the Sprint Cup's Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway around mid-November. Then are off until mid-February when the Craftsman Truck Series begins their season opener at Daytona International Speedway (this is if you are talking about NASCAR as a whole, not just the Sprint Cup Series)

When you get right down to it they really don't have an "off season" even when they aren't racing they are doing testing and various other things.

in reality it is like december 5th through mid january... they do nothing really in this period and then testing starts about the second week of january
