A bunch of my friends and I started planning a trip to Cancun; we planned to go in October but I recently learned that is in the midst of hurricane season. Is it safe to go late summer??

  1. I went last October. It was wonderful but HOT. Stay away from the summer.

  2. Some do not like to travel during hurricane season, however, since it lasts for the part of the year when temps are at their best, it's hard to resist traveling during that time.

Personally, I do not like the months of December-late January and late June through early August. I find the temps to be too cold in December and too hot and humid in June through July.

  3. October is fine. Hurricane season is from June to December so late summer won't make a difference.  I lived in Cancun for two years and never saw one.  Wilma came eight months after I moved.  You might find late summer a bit hot.  October is very good because the weather is good and there are no line ups anywhere

  4. A good time to stay far away from Mexico is from August to November...Hurricanes run ramped through the Mexican Caribbean and they certainly aren't fun to deal with.

  5. Don't go during hurricane season because you never know when a hurricane will approach. The best time is probably in December.

  6. Anytime is a good time to stay in  Cancun !!!

  7. Spring break time.

not the best idea, unlees yu wanna be trampelled over drunk

  8. At the end of the summer, for about a month, there is something the Mexicans call 'sea lice' in the water. These are nasty little creatures (baby squid, I think) that attach themselves to you (EVERYWHERE), are very difficult to remove, and leave painful welts where they have been removed. If you go to Cancun to swim at all, that is without question the worst time to go.

  9. Any time good time! jk lol

  10. Right now is the best time. The weather is good during hurricane season, but you do have to worry about that little inconvenience. The summer is too darn hot and humid.
