  2. The more relevant issue is when are they going to retire the oldest 400's that kill you on the pond transients.  That has to be the most uncomfortable aircraft in service with the rudest staff.  There is no Senior Purser on NW intercontinental flights as they push it down to the junior FA.

  3. they are starting to replace them with a320's.

  4. They are phasing them out as we speak, however they are well built planes and wouldn't surprise if they keep many of them for another 3-4 years.

    US Airways is beginning to replace many of the 737-300 with Airbus's and plan to complete the replacements by 2010
