The easiest way is to go to   Verizon.com   click on FIOS,  it will ask you for your Verizon phone number.  If you don't have a Verizon phone you will have the option to put in your address.  The system will tell you if it available.  If it isn't, you will be asked to put in some info and Verizon will notify you when it is in your area.

I know that they are working as fast as they can to offer it to everybody that wants it.  In the state of Mass, each town has to give its approval to Verizon to start installing the fiber, then the town once again has to give them their approval to offer video services after some public hearings that usually include opposition from the local cable co's.

Sometime in 2008. Your town has probably not approved this yet.
