i have 4 guinea's at home and im just introducing cucumbers to them. i brought two home and the first one lasted about two weeks because i only gave it to them every two days. the other one is getting soft and when i cut it open, the area closest to the skin was almost clear and gel like. while the center was still normal. is it bad or still safe for them to eat?

  1. they will be fine if your wired just cut the "gel" part off and give them the good part

  2. the guinea pig is soft or the cucumber?!

  3. When giving an animal -like a rodent, a veggie or fruit, check an hour later to see if it's been eaten and if it is still there remove it from the cage.

Cucumbers offer no nutritional value for guinea pigs but they are safe without the seeds.

Wash it well. (european cucumbers have no seeds)-or take seeds out of a regular cucumber.

Cut into small chunks. Only offer a small chunk per day.

Vitamin C rich veggies are best for your gpigs, such as:

    leafy romain lettuce

    cilantro

    red leaf lettuce

    green leaf lettuce

green peepers-orange, yellow, red belle peppers

    wash throughly. no seeds allowed.

  4. whats trhat!
