When you're finacilly stable, with a good and sturdy shelter over your head, with the bills all paid, and with a husband.

Any time you are in a commited , stabl relationship with someone, have a career, can support them and most of all when you hav etime for them.

For single females wanting to adopt-all of the above without the relationship.

I've had two lots of children - two in my early twenties, and two in my thirties.

I think it depends on you, the kind of person you are, yourown background and your financial situation.

Think of what children need.  They need a decent life, with a decent lifestyle.  They need financial and emotional security.  They need to fit in with their peers and to be able to puruse interests and activities.  

And you have to be able to afford those.

I also think that children do best living with both their parents in a comfortable house.

Think about the things you wanted as a child, and remember, your child will feel the same.

I was too young, personally, when I had my first two children.  I came from a bad background and hadn't worked my way through it.  I wanted my children as a substitute for the love Inever had.  It's not why you should have children.  I was intolerant and impatient.

I'm a much better mother second time around.

But that's me.  I'm in my late forties now, and I'm a good mother.  My children are well brought up, with morals. they're well behved (so far) and life is good.

But I do owe my older boys an apology for not being more patient and kindly.

When you are an adult who can take care of yourself completely, but still young and energetic and open to big changes. Like, 21-24 for most people. College benefits you more in some ways if you go when you're older, anyhow, and you have no major interruption if you want to establish a professional career. You can go back to school when the kids are 5-12.

Of course, not everyone is ready that young, and young adult experiences are formative so you may decide that it's better for you to wait. You have an advantage if you wait till after 30, because you've got a lot more perspective on who you are and how you want to parent your kids, and probably more financial stability and social network.

IMO if you are young and feel the urge, go for it. If you are young and don't feel the urge, don't get anxious, it's fine to wait.

when u are confident about who you are as an individual you will know what type of man is right for you.  Leading to marriage.  When YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND (not boyfriend) DECIDE TOGETHER that you love each other and you both have the home, money, energy, and love to share with a new addition.  It really is BEST when BOTH PARENTS DECIDE to bring a new addition to the world together.

When you have a job, a home/apt, and the means to add another person to the household and give them the care, emotionally and physically they need.
