When is a good time to tell a potential employer about 3 weeks family reunion?

I am being interviewed for a job currently and my vacation is already planned for november when is a good time to tell the potential employer

It's best to let them know when you are hired because if they don't wish to let you go they won't hire you and if you are working   they will refuse and you will either not go or be fired.  You may have to make a choice between the job and the length of time you stay at the reunion.

I was in the interview and I told them, "If you were to hire me, i would need this particular day off because my mom would be really mad if I missed her wedding."  I got hired and I got the time off.  but a 3 week long family reunion?  Wouldn't everyone want to commit mass suicide???

after you get the job. Then wait a few weeks and then go to whomever handles time off and tell them its an unavoidable family issue.

As soon as he says he is interested in hiring you....but hey, sometimes you have to make sacrifices in order to get the job, maybe you can cut it short a bit?  3 weeks is a long time to ask off, even if you have worked somewhere a while!

The pro's say not to mention it in the interview, and I agree. After the interview, if you are offered the job, then is the time to discuss numbers and to bring up the prior commitment.

If you are totally upfront with them and they see you as a potential employee because of your good record and background of experience, you'll get it and they'll be thankful you let them know asap.

Let him know during the interview. it may be too late if you let them know after they offer you a position.
