  1. Simple answer, yes, as long as the try was scored before sliding over the dead ball line.

  2. The rule is that there must be CONTROLLED DOWNWARD PRESSURE on the ball in the in goal area. Grounding any part of the ball on the try line or at the base of the posts is also acceptable.

  3. If he puts the ball down before he slides out than yes it is a try.  If any part of the player is out while he has possession of the ball he is deemed out.

  4. When youm do not get the ball down on the line or there is no downward pressure on the ball. If a player puts the pull down before he slid over the dead ball line then itsa try other wise he has carried it over no try shall be awarded

  5. Easy guidelines , if we dont respect them , it wont be a discipline.Happens in every sport.

  6. If you have contact, body (any part)-BALL-Ground, inside the in-goal it is a try. If you do it on the line that separes the fiel of the in-goal it is a try, if it happens touching (you or the ball) one of the side or end line or flag: you are outside the field so it is not a try.

Your case: he scores the try and after he slides outside the field, but the try is already scored, so yes you have your 5 pts. and the possibility of 2 more kicking the goal conversion
