Most melons are harvested 70 to 80 days, but cliamte and temperatures can alter this..when the bottom of the melon laying on the ground turns a yellowish color and not light cream is usually ready..also the first inch or two of the tendril it is growing from will dry out and turn brown..

its ready when vine tendril gets brown . it happen between 3 6 to 40 days
