Question:

When is anyone going to publish their research on "global cooling"? Any peer reviewed research on this?

I don't want 'blogs' or other stuff, just a serious scientific publication that can show that it's more provable than AGW. Or is every one mistaking Winter for climate change?

  1. Global cooling is just as believable as global warming.

These are just opinions, no different then "knowing" who is going to win the presidential elections in November.

No one can tell you scientifically if it will be warmer or colder anytime in the future.  If they do, it's just their opinion, and opinions aren't science.

[Edit] Peer review is a very low standard.  Imagine 10 people reviewing the work of a like minded colleague discussing the evidence that UFO's are real.  I would be surprised if they came to the conclusion that they were fake.

Science can be developed for almost anything.  That fact alone doesn't prove the science.  Eugenics was scientifically accepted, and many still believe it after all these years of showing itself to be false.

There is no math that correlates ghg's to temperatures.  No one can come to the same conclusion, not even believers.  Some say we have less than 10 years, others say 100 years.

In the end, they are just expressing their opinions.  No one can predict the future, let alone for something as complex as the climate.

  2. I hear the Weather Chan. founder is sueing Al Gore.  Now granted IMOH Al is a dork but he does have some good points on global warming.  I think he's pushing it just a bit too far... too much speculation.

    Sue his a$$.

  3. There was much stuff published in the 70s that warned of man-made climate change either way: colder because of damaging the ozone or hotter from giving greenhouse gases, but some couldn't decide and recommended further studies and others warned of global warming.

I also want to point out that it was NOT  scientific literature that was predicting global cooling catastrophes.  That was the POPULAR press such as "Time" "Newsweek"

  4. Not until it actually happens.  James Hansen did publish an entry on 'cold weather' on his website, because he knows the difference between weather and climate.

  5. I do remember the global cooling debate of the '70s. Most of the kids today weren't even born yet when global cooling was in vogue. I also remember a few other supposed eco-catastrophes that were to have happened by now and haven't.

Experience and history have made me a skeptic.

  6. It's already been peer reviewed by Science magazine. Global cooling is very bad
