  2. when it leads to erroneous behavior or thoughts or complexes . being out of context in the knowledge domain is not that bad - it can be rectified in due course. however, a misplaced/mistimed/'mis-toned' comment or observation may hurt a child emotionally & stay scarred for life. that is what one must guard against as a teacher. hence it is important to get to know your students well & to interact carefully without bias or prejudice. and if one realises a slip, one must rectify that immediately too - explain & if need be, apologise.
