  1. We go to mass, have dinner with family, dance a little bit and open gifts.

  2. Christmas is celebrated EVERYWHERE on December 25th, Panana being no exception. Latin American countries usually start celebrating on Christmas Eve and have a traditional dinner on the 24th and a lunch on the 25th.

  3. December 25th

  4. Christmas Day is Dec 25th with meals and parties often on Christmas Eve and a big lunch on Christmas Day. Not much different from other Catholic countries.

As for info on Panama itself, I lived there for a couple of summers and loved it. The people are incredibly friendly and like to party and can make a special occassion out of anything.

It has vast beaches on the Pacific side that are often completely deserted, great drinking water everywhere, San Blas islands and the indigenous Cuna culture, the canal, amazing shopping in Colon and Panama City, beautiful volcanoes and rainforests, waterfalls and so much more. Also very easy to get around and once outside of Panama City not crowded at all. My favourite place is Boquete in the west as it is in the mountains near the base of a volcano and has a glorious temperate climate and flowers in bloom year round - they also grow amazing coffee and strawberries there.
