  1. When there are 40 people dancing on the same volcano you are not going to stand out. I think that courage is something not always planned as you may not realise the courage you have in an emergency situation.

Likewise if you prove you have courage no one might be there to see.

  2. It's always not the best way. Courage and foolhardiness are not the same thing. Dancing on the volcano is ostentatious -a way of saying "Oh, look at me, I'm not afraid". It's foolhardy -they are afraid (or stupid). Courage is proven by doing the difficult thing despite one's fear. How does the dancer react when the volcano starts to show some activity? That's a better test of courage.

  3. If your playing with a winning hand, there is no need to flash your cards.

If one is courageous they do not need proof of it, for themselves or others, time will tell.

  4. When the volcano is about to erupt.

and I didn't take "volcanoes" literally...

  5. Sometimes its necessary and sometimes it is not. Its really up to the dancer to decide when to dance the dance and when to escape the eruption.

  6. ...to do so would not be courageous, but folly and foolishness is a welcoming addict to idiocy

  7. because courage needs wisdom...
